Eight NTU topics in global top 10 in latest QS college rankings

8 topics at Singapore's Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) have rated in the worldwide top 10 during the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) planet College Rankings by Issue.

NTU has overtaken the Massachusetts Institute of Technologies (MIT) in Elements Science, and now ranks first on earth for the subject matter.

“Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, our professors continue to show immense dedication in educating our students and pursuing their world-class research, which has strengthened NTU’s world reputation,” he added.

Out of NTU’s total of 38 topics appearing during the QS topic rankings, the College improved its ranking in 23 of them.

“Nanyang Technological College can claim to be one of the world’s most-improved institutions over the past year. These improvements are based on NTU’s increasing research power: we have seen the number of NTU programmes scoring 90/100 or more for our research impact indicator increase from 9 to ten,” Ben Sowter, Senior Vice president at QS, said.

This year’s QS World College Rankings by Matter highlighted the world’s prime universities in 51 subject matter areas. The rankings are based on four main indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per paper and the H-index during the relevant topic.
